Three Books To Keep You Company This Scorpio Season

By Summer Webb

Dates: Oct 23 – Nov 21

Element: Water

Key Traits: Seductive, Passionate, Independent

Good Morning my dear Scorpios! It is finally your time to shine!

I have been waiting all weekend to help shine the spotlight on this ambitious and charming sign!!! Now I know some of you are thinking “but Summer, Scorpios steal the spotlight *all* the time so why are we celebrating them now?” and I am so glad you asked!!! For many people, just hearing the word Scorpio is an instant turn off, but that isn’t a fair reaction. This water sign gets a bum rap because of their slightly antisocial, extremely stubborn way of living.  They are also known for intense brooding, which isn’t always a bad thing so I think it’s time to let our little emo Scorpios live their best life!!! And what better way to do that than to read books?!!! So without further ado, I give you the 3 best books to read this Scorpio Season!!!

First up: Done Dirt Cheap by Sarah Nicole Lemon

I was initially drawn to this book because the cover is actual perfection and since bookstagram is still alive and thriving, I will always choose the books with the pretty covers first. (Sorry, but sometimes I do judge a book by it's cover.) I received this book as an advanced copy, so I was one of the first to read it. That means I went in pretty much blind. I think that’s the best way to experience any horror novel, and I was not disappointed with this one. It was dark and whimsical and incredibly intriguing. You can read my full review here

Next on the list: Then She Was Gone by Lisa Jewell

Then She Was Gone is one of those HOLY CRAP I CANT PUT THIS DOWN books. I started it at work and thought I would be able to put it down after a few pages but NOPE, NOT THIS TIME. I literally thought about this book for the rest of my work day and couldn’t wait until I was home to finish reading it. It had so many twists and turns that I was glued to the page! This is going to be a perfect match for my magnetic and mysterious Scorpios. Go ahead and one click this one, you’ll thank me later!

Onto number 3: CORRUPT by Penelope Douglas

(This book requires a trigger warning and it is extremely graphic and not for the faint of heart. This is a very dark romance and you should proceed with caution should you decide to read it.)

One of the most intriguing traits of Scorpio’s is their love of all things dark. The scorpions tend to be brooding troublemakers and thrive on the chaos of danger and mystery. Which is what leads me to my next recommendation. CORRUPT by Penelope Douglas is not only sexy but also incredibly dark. The story will pull you in and take you through so many emotions that you'll be left reeling. This wild ride is something I think that Scorpios will love. But as I mentioned before, this book requires a trigger warning for multiple types of assault so proceed with caution.

Bonus: The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater

This is the most November book that ever existed. It was practically written for scorpio babes!!! Not only is this a great book to read during the month of November but it is also one of my all-time favorite books!!! This book is beautifully written and incites incredibly stunning visuals while reading. I enjoyed this book immensely. You guys GOTTA grab this one!

Now that I have paired all of my favorite Scorpio traits with my favorite books, go grab your kindle and your most comfy blanket and bring in Scorpio season with a bang!!!
